Home and well.... Exhausted!

What can I say, Brimfield was a blast! I went with 3 beautiful ladies from WLU and let me tell you we had a ball! We stayed in Sturbridge Mass. at the Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference Center. http://www.sturbridgehosthotel.com/. This is a lovely hotel and I highly recommend it. It was a straight shot right into Brimfield.

Looks like this was modeled after the Gaylord Hotel in Florida.

Once in Brimfield, along the main road, on both sides, for about a mile and a half is nothing but vendors. And the vendor tents run about half a football field deep. It was incredible. There will be two more shows, one in July and the last in September. To learn more go here...http://www.brimfieldshow.com/.

You can find anything you want, from collectibles, to door knobs and even antique hinges. If you are restoring a house, this is the place to go!

There is truly no way to explain it, you have to experience it. But just know you will not see everything your first time around, unless you are there for the whole week it runs. Even then I have to wonder.

Tired after the first day.

The weather cooperated for New England weather. Friday was hot and all of us got a little pink. Saturday was cooler with a breeze and brief shower. And Sunday was just down right cold, cloudy and clammy from the rain. But that didn't stop us from one last spin around.

Food was not a problem!! Besides all of the Food Vendors, the Hotel had a great breakfast and for dinner, well....

Our first night we had a yummy dinner at the Oxhead Tavern which is right on premises. Go to the hotel website and click dining to find out more. The second night was dinner at Romaldo's http://www.romaldos.com/. Again fantastic food in a beautiful historic setting.

With all that walking, thank heavens the hotel had a hot tub we could relax in, which we took full advantage of.

I did find some goodies... a couple of collectible Halloween costumes for Sissy, a wrought iron garden gate and 4 fence pieces for me. I also bought a porcelain hand, a "Battleship Boys" book and 2 cruets to complete my Victorian "Lazy Susan". Janet scored some beautiful tea cups, linens and a wrought iron patio table. Betty bought some beautiful glasses.

This past weekend was like 4 Sorority Sisters going on Spring Break. OK there are some differences. Yes, we all shared a room but no "cat fights". Instead of beer we drank Godiva White Chocolate Liquor. We didn't scope for Dudes, we scoped for Deals. And we didn't eat what ever we could put in our mouths. OK yes we did, but it wasn't Micky D's, it was Scallops, Pasta and Hot Fudge Brownies. Oh and nobody lost their top in the Hot Tub.
It was a fabulous time with great company. I can't wait to do it again.
Love and Hugs!!
One tired
