WHIRLWIND

Wow things have been so busy around here. It is hard for me to grasp that this is all really happening. Too see all of your life packed up into boxes is quite a reality check. You go to get a can opener or spoon and the drawer is empty, all very strange. I do have some mental help. My dear friend Thelma flew up from Virginia to be a part of this crazy mess. Bless her heart, she is going to drive back to VA with me and dogs. She may need the nighty night meds instead of the dogs.

Today I'm taking Jake Robert and Stevie Ray in to get groomed while the moving van is being loaded. Once it is gone, I can look at cleaning up and getting some final paint jobs completed. Good heavens, I thought I was a decent housekeeper. UMMM No. Holy cow things get dirty where you don't even think they can get dirty.
My treat for the week was Sunday. WLU threw me a little Good Bye Party.....
Amy, Martha, Jeanne, Liz, Margaret, Pam Carol and Me
It was wonderful and the food and fellowship was to die for. I'm so going to miss those ladies!! I was given a Maine "Goody Bag" and Carol made me a beautiful embroidered jacket. I can't wait to get settled in so I can pull my sewing stuff back out. I really miss it. Here are some pics from the party
Carol & I she made the cute Jacket for me
My Buddies Janet and Kathy
Here is a picture of me with John Jenkins, the Mayor of Auburn and Anne Parker my Real Estate Agent. They both came by yesterday to say good bye and to tell me not to worry about the house, they have it under control. Isn't that the sweetest!!
Well I'm going to run, lots to do!

And the count down begins...

First of all Big Daddy is doing just fine. He still seems to like his job over there and I hear from him usually once a day via email. I do miss his voice, I wish he would call more often. Thank you everyone for keeping him in your prayers. I know he feels it and I appreciate it. Also don't forget the other guys and gals who are doing a heck of a great job and their families as well. I'm having a time with out him around to help with the most trivial stuff, I could not imagine if I had a couple of babes. A huge salute to the spouses and the children of deployed military!! You have no idea how incredible you are.

After what was a total chaotic Saturday, today was more of a relaxing day!! OK who am I kidding, it was more get this and that done only there was no real time schedule. Yesterday just went by as a blur. But I had better start with Friday. There goes my ADD again.

Friday was my last day of work at Northeast Bank. It was a happy/sad day. I have made so really good friends and learned so much, I will be sad not seeing them. The ladies and gentleman I worked with took to me to lunch and gave me the sweetest card. Barb who is our receptionist made me a dozen Whoopie Pies. OMG those things are to die for. I could have probably eaten the whole lot of them, but I have restrained myself, shared some and put the rest in the freezer. A guy I work with came over Friday night and re grouted my bath. What a doll he is!! He was back first thing Saturday to finish the job and even helped me bring more crap up from the basement to take to the dump. The dump is a whole nother story. I had 680lbs of stuff to dump this time and that was a second trip, not to mention the bags at the curb for the past 2 weeks. How does one acquire all that junk. OH YEAH marry Big Daddy who saves EVERYTHING. You would think he grew up during the depression. Anyhoo...

After all the grouting and dump visiting, the gentlemen who bought my pump organ came and picked that up and a lady who had called about a couple of tables came and bought them. Then the cleaning began. My agent had called and said someone wanted to see the house ON SATURDAY afternoon late. OMG, so I was a cleaning freak, until the vacuum died. So with 2 hours to spare I ran Wally World bought a 38 dollar jobberdo and got it all done. Then the people were only here for like 5 min. Talk about mad. OH Well can't win them all. Someone will buy this house yet.

Today I went to North Conway New Hampshire. You see before Big D left, he and I made wine and had it bottled for Xmas gifts this year. Well I had to go pick up our hooch. Shipping it would cost a small country's yearly budget. 2 Hours both ways later it is home and ready for the labels. Now I just have to send the picture for the labels.

Lots to get done tomorrow too. Headed to Brunswick to get ID renewed, obtain yard sale permit, and get it advertised.

Well I'm off to take a shower. I have not been able to take one since Friday and "marine baths" are getting pretty old. I'll continue to keep ya posted on the craziness that is my household.

Love and Hugs

DADDY

3 years ago today I lost my bestest Pal in the world. I love you Daddy and miss you so much. I still can't believe you are not at the other end of the phone. I know you are at peace and watching over me, Momma, Sissy, Big Daddy, Bubby, Boy and Mini Me. I know you laugh your head off in heaven at some of our antics down here on earth and hold us when we are hurting. I can just hear you telling me to "Buck up Kid, it will all be alright! Life is full of little inequities", while you give me a hug.

You are so missed by so many. I hope you know how many lives you have made better by just knowing you or how many stranger's day you made by the corny joke you told.

Thank you to all of you who continue to hold the wonderful man known as Ken in your thoughts and heart.
